I had the great honor of speaking with James “The Thinker” Smith on Sunday night. First of all, very friendly. What a source of knowledge as well. Here are some key points of our conversation:
Strength training can be said, but not strength training. Strength training is a form of strength training. Read that again if it does not make sense at first glance. The whole purpose of training athletes to improve their performance in their sport or game you should always know how you think of this goal. Sometimes the weights are not what is needed. I had some of my guys have a contrast ratio of the day last night and the only “gym” stuff they did was a superset of TRX-line parking and walking rushes at the end . So here is what will make them better?
The more advanced the athlete’s skill wise (of talent), the less they will need and be able to cope with the weight room. Your central nervous system is so advanced that they require not only a lot of work to get fit. May, on the other side to fry a lot faster than a little athlete. Therefore, at a professional level of sport you do not see raising as lifting heavy or broadcast.
